Nothing beats a waterproof sealant

There is nothing better in the world to make a seal when the integrity of the membrane is damaged than to add/attach an element. Clean substrate surface (soap/degreaser/alcohol/acetone); Stick the Eternabond to your app/device flange and double the clear strip so you can pull it out after positioning the device [you can't move it after sticking]; drill self-tapping screws through the mounting flange. Work above 60+°F and store EternaBond in the freezer/fridge for easier handling during use.

Unbelievable. Best Adhesives, Sealants & Lubricants

nice material. Incredible connection. Used it to install some things on the roof and canopy rails. Also wrap the bolts for caulking. I feel a lot more confident with this than after seeing butyl tape tear and wear out with age. In addition, it is easy to work with her. Although you can move it, you have to be more careful with initial placement. I was able to attach the canopy rail and then drill holes and insert screws while the canopy rail was already attached to the wall! Love it. Going…

Sticky Monster - useful for sealing OR gluing

Butyl rubber like Dicor BT-1834-1 1/8" x 3/4" x 30' Butyl sealing tape is probably better than this product for sealing objects that are mounted on an RV roof because it is incredibly flexible is. and sticky, but this tape is much easier to work with in applications that are awkward to access or otherwise difficult to install.
