This is a surveillance disk for NVR application. I assume that anyone who knows the difference will understand this and the different design of different hard drives. It's quiet with no obvious noise, it works in an Amcrest branded NVR which fits perfectly, screw holes are well aligned, cable connectors fit perfectly. I can't measure the temperature while running, but the NVR doesn't heat up or heat up at all, so that's a good sign for me. Durability - It doesn't last very long, but the WD specs give an expected lifespan (measured average). Worth, I guess), so I expect it to be in line with average life expectancy. Anything above that is a bonus. Use it for monitoring and it's ok, this is usually important data stored but usually it's not critical, if it is you're probably an IT pro and you know what to do about it anyway (I'm NOT an expert, I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous :-).) Overall I've had good luck with various WD drives over the years and expect no less from them. I wasn't paid, refunded or given anything for free (never do that as I'm not important enough on the internet!) so you get my own unbiased honest opinion and nothing more. :-)
