I had the original Moen outlet on the thread, this has a different position, it uses a clamping system. In order for this to work, I need to cut off the threaded portion of the pipe with a pipe cutter (copper pipe) and then clamp it using a specific method. You cannot cut off a threaded connection with a hacksaw, as the edges must be clean so as not to damage the o-ring that forms the seal. I can, but I doubt it because I've never used this new system. It seems to me that this yoke can break off over time under pressure, while the thread system will never loosen under pressure.
