I bought this peel (the model #2616) at a local commercial restaurant supply store a couple years ago and I think I remember paying a lot more for it, but I wanted to see it myself before I bought a peel.I don't make pizza all the time, mostly for caloric reasons ;-) but this peel is really nice. I prefer to dust the peel with semolina flour vs cornmeal because I find cornmeal too gritty - just my opinion of course.I have only washed the peel a couple times in the 2 years I've had it. I'm not really worried about it being clean - it has had a little sauce and cheese on it and I just wipe it off and put it away.I has initially bought a bamboo peel at BB&B and it split the first time I used it.Really like this peel and my Lodge cast iron pizza pan.
