After reading previous reviews I was wary of buying the Coolpix L28. But I really like my Coolpix L120 so I decided to take the risk and buy L28 because I need something really portable. I made sure I ordered a class 10 memory card. Slower cards (class 4 etc.) take longer to capture an image and save the image. The latency with my class 10 card is only about a second or 2 at most. The pictures I've taken so far are pretty clear and the colors are true to life. My computer recognized the camera immediately with no Nikon software to install and it was easy to transfer images to my HD. L28's high resolution means images can be greatly enlarged. For a close-up, I snapped a photo of the printed page, about 5 inches tall, and the font was perfectly legible. It's true that the L28 doesn't do as well as my L120 in a dark room. Images are a bit grainy, but normal room lighting produces good results. In my opinion, the Coolpix L28 is a good choice for people who want a compact and portable camera at a reasonable price. and the writing was perfectly legible.
