I use this rope for shoelaces. This is the perfect size: 1/8 inch diameter, cut to your own length. Extremely durable, beautiful and very economical compared to store bought laces. I have always replaced cheap, poor quality laces or very expensive laces with better ones. I don't have to do this anymore, do it with the properties of the starter rope, it won't stretch, fray, tear (600-800 lbs to break, I forgot). The tight weave does not collect dust, sand or dirt and prevents sawing through the eyelets. It's a little harder to tighten the laces, but remember you can't break them (at least I can't) and they stay in place better than regular laces. If you're tired of dealing with all the hassle setbacks and expense of traditional laces, try Stens starter rope. Boots that look like cheap tennis shoes.
