Filters with a good price-performance ratio - reorder

When I ordered the first set of three Pureline filters a year ago, I was a little skeptical that the price was too good compared to expensive Samsung filters to be true. I'd rather buy a Samsung, but let's be honest, at $49 each, their filters are grossly overpriced for what they are. I've just installed a third Pureline filter and have to make sure I've been impressed with their performance. We have hard water with a lot of chlorine and these filters do a great job of filtering out bad tastes and odors. I'm picky about the water I drink and these filters deliver a great tasting glass of fresh water every time. My only issue with these filters is that they require a good rinse with water after installation. The water doesn't seem to taste good to me until I run 5 gallons or more through the filters to give them a good rinse. After that, the water tastes great and they keep for 6 months or more. They seem to flow a little faster than Samsung filters, but that's not a problem for me. I don't want to wait for the glass to be full. The filters have two o-rings and fit snugly (perhaps too tight) and don't leak. Good price and I'm placing an order for another set of 3 today.
