These adapters do not fit snugly on the SMA connectors of Icom R5, Yaseu VX7R, Uniden BCD-396T/XT etc. Basically they need a thick strain relief washer for the SMA connector. Using these adapters without a washer may damage the SMA connector. It is better to spend the extra money and order from a reputable company. Compared to the SMA to BNC adapter that comes with the Uniden BCD-396T and XT models, the SMA side is about half the size it should be. On these adapters, the center pin of the SMA actually protrudes from the base, so the adapter won't even lay flat when placed on a flat surface with the SMA side down. That's how short the side of the SMA is.
