My speakers stop ticking :)
Quite expensive but nothing cheap on the boat. I installed them on my '96 Mercury 115hp 2-stroke outboard and replaced the no-resistance version to get rid of the ticking noise coming from my 6x9 speakers at idle. Of course they did their job. There is no longer a tick. I was also going 2mph faster than before with the same load, but it could have been the wind. It definitely didn't hurt performance and certainly made it easier. For the $28 I paid for four ports, you can't go wrong. I couldn't even buy a good RCA noise filter for that much money.
