It was a good idea, but it doesn't fit standard cup openings and has no adjustments. It is very easy to assemble. But if you put something heavy on it, it will just fall off and throw everything on the ground. I think wrapping a rag around the base and sticking it in the cup hole might work, but it doesn't add to the fickle situation. Every time you use it, you have to stabilize it. It is designed for small narrow cup holders.
