I got this camera as my first real camera when I was studying film. I knew I was filming video and that it was becoming notorious for its poor autofocus, but I was shooting by hand so it didn't matter. It has been very good for me, previously I used a canon t3i and it was similar but at minimal cost. I liked the touchscreen, it allows me to quickly select the settings I use most often. I use one adapter for manual FD lenses and another for EF lenses. For video this works great to begin with, you touch what you like, it has an input for an extra microphone and it can adapt to other lenses. Aside from the autofocus issue, my biggest dislikes are: - the small body feels less professional, most lenses feel like they're huge and basically what I'm stuck with. - Less battery life than full body cameras.
