I've only been using it for two weeks but so far so good. The car has an Android Auto USB-A port in the center armrest storage compartment, but the design isn't great because if you plug in a standard cable, it stands straight up (vertically). the cable bumps or moves, which means that the connection to the USB port will loosen over time. Right angle extension reduces number of contacts. The cable allows me to connect my PIxel 3 to Android Auto. No problems with data transfer. It also charges the phone but not at the PD rated rate.
