If you're considering buying one of these drives, be aware that they're likely not covered by Seagate's manufacturer's warranty, so luckily. If you end up buying one when it arrives, I highly recommend going to the Seagate warranty confirmation page. The original version of this review was conveniently pasted here, but Revane didn't like it, so let's try again. Use your search engine of choice to search for "Seagate Warranty Check" and you'll likely find it. I think someone even included a link in the Questions section of the listing. In any case, I advise you to check this out. My drive arrived with a bad one which caused the RAID controller to keep reconnecting the drive and re-identifying and causing unrecoverable read errors. Despite 4 attempts, the array will not rebuild with this drive. It hasn't had many hours of use as other people have mentioned, but it's certainly not a premium drive. Funnily enough, they also shipped the Seagate drive in a Western Digital box. If you care about the data you want to store on this drive, I strongly suggest you buy something else.
