The Jeep Wrangler has almost no possibility to attach a phone mount. I've literally tried four different car mounts with no success. Most of them have suction cups that are 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter, and there isn't a single spot on the console that's as wide, flat, and smooth. You wouldn't want to mount it on top of the dash because the field of view through the windshield is small enough to get out of the way on an iPhone that seems to get bigger every year. I tried the one that plugs into the car charger adapter and the arm was surprisingly strong enough to hold my phone, but the Wrangler's rougher ride meant that the phone was shaking like crazy. Tried two different vent mounts. But the omnidirectional swivel feature on the Wrangler's vents only meant that it would end up upside down or fall completely to the ground as the phone's weight moved the entire mount away from the vent as it inevitably pointed downward. This mount is the perfect size, the magnet is strong and sturdy. It fits PERFECTLY and it's not a huge conspicuous piece of plastic hanging off my dash. I am very happy. I don't recommend putting a magnet on the popsocket as the phone will still tip over due to the 360* rotation, but all in all this is really a minor inconvenience. I'm very glad I tried it. I would buy this again and again.
