That saved us. When we put my son in the cot, he slept in the middle of his room. The side of the bumper isn't very high, but it's been keeping him in bed ever since. There are handles on the top and sides of the bumper to help the panels stick and stay in place and not look "sloppy". I am so happy with the way it looks and that it completely stops my little one from rolling out of bed. When it arrives, just be aware that it will probably take the memory foam an hour to expand to its true size, so don't be intimidated by how small it looks at first glance.
