I was very pleased with this set. I knew the boots probably wouldn't fit based on the reviews (they didn't), but for the rest I was hopeful. I hung the elf on its hook and set her up like a swing, then pushed her back against the wall and went to bed. Went down to a very confused 7 year old this morning who couldn't figure out why Jingle Bell fell off the swing and landed face down on the floor. So now I have an elf who lies on the floor all day because we can't move him and my kid is fooling around. I think the chair will work, so that's good. Our elf's arms aren't sewn together, so we can't use the ideas from the book, but it seems to me that most of them are just different ways to get the elf fishing. I suppose our elf can fish in the chair.
