Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Ceiling Fan Control: Universal Thermostatic Remote Control Conversion Kit for Fan and Light by Pleaze Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best investment in a fan controller! 4 years just keeps getting better! See what you need to know!

more than four years and still working! Got this to control the fan in the master bedroom and surprisingly it still works. Below are the details of this remarkable work. What I like about it (everything): - low battery consumption (mine runs on a battery and only charges after 8-12 months) - current room temperature display (bonus) - comfort below: - 3 fan speeds - auto on/off based on room temperature (if room temperature =: 8 degrees Fahrenheit above setting means high fan speed, 4 degrees Fahrenheit means medium fan speed, 1 degree F lower setting means fans off, ie room is already 1 degree colder) - Fan and lights off timer ( range from 0.5, 1.2 to 24 hours) - Dimming function (range from 100% to 20%) - Output lights off (3-minute timer) - During installation: - Easy attachment of the stand to the wall or in my case about the patch panel - the possibility of repurposing: - the possibility of using several independent units throughout the house (better make sure you have compiled a list of frequencies) - it is possible h, clone or create a single controller for some common areas (although this is not recommended). LEDs are such that they flicker when dimmed and reduce bulb life) Things to look out for: - may not work with some dimmable bulbs (best to test the brand of bulb for a few days to a month) I want it to have: - Glow-in-the-dark button for the light (I modified it to have a green dot in the photos) How it works / configured (specs): (see images of buttons and display ) turn on and adjust fan speed) - light button (also dimming button - hold down, after reaching the minimum brightness setting it goes back to the brightest level of 100% and then back again etc.) - lighting delay (I call turning turning off the output light - when pressed , the light stays on and turns off automatically after 3 minutes) - Automatic fan (to switch between manual and automatic mode) (Function (see above) > Setting buttons Buttons: - Fan timer (when setting the clock to start the fan by timer) - Light timer (when setting the clock to turn on the fan by timer) - Up and Down (to set the clock and temperature) stayed on when the power was on room temperature is equal to or higher than this value, the fan switches off when the current room temperature is below this value) - current room temperature (the chip in the controller compares the set temperature with the current temperature in automatic mode ; it's also a good visual aid when trying to determine the current temperature in a room compared to other rooms in the house) - fan status based on 3 speeds (low, medium, high) (blue button to adjust) - low light percentage ( % ) (yellow button for setting) - fan auto. o/manual state (auto fan button) Important Tips: 1) If you have multiple fans or pending installations, it can avoid interference and duplication by changing the frequency switch before installation. Be sure to make a list of the rooms versus frequency number for the link to save time troubleshooting installing a duplicate signal. 2) Replace incandescent bulbs with dimmable CFLs or preferably LEDs to eliminate flicker. (We can all upgrade at some point.) Be sure to test the best brands available in your area (for a set period of time) before making any big purchases. Most stores have a 90-day right of return. 3) Lamps of different brands are made in different ways. When dimming with any dimmer, the light source must be checked for compatibility. What I've done: I replaced all my lightbulbs with LED's over Thanksgiving last year (particularly the GE branding and dimming is no longer an issue). Conclusion: It is an excellent investment, useful, reliable and durable. The automatic fan function works well in indoor climates that vary in temperature within a range of up to 9 degrees Fahrenheit (high to off setting). This works as described. Some compatibility with available dimmable compact fluorescent lamps may need to be verified and is not attributable to this device. YMMV for battery life if you have set automatic functions and frequently set timers. This rating is based on my personal experience. My personal goal is to help other customers when I feel a product is worth money and time, or vice versa. If I'm happy with a product's performance and it's helped me, I can take the time to tell people so hopefully they'll benefit too! I rely heavily on reviews before making the "BIG DECISION" to purchase any product, be it a project, renovation or accessory. "I believe that every penny spent is not worth spending if the product isn't right in the first place." With this in mind, I'm trying to find ways to help the customer find out if the product is theirs meets needs. Similarly, posting reviews for products I own and use is my way of thanking the owners/contributors who helped me find the right product. I hope this review was helpful, if so please click Yes below.
