Excellent universal remote control kit for ceiling fans

I bought and installed this kit over 2 years ago. It still works perfectly. It works great as a handheld remote for my Hunter fan. I used the timer function and the thermostat function, both work. I don't think I've had to change the batteries in the remote yet, but it uses AAA batteries, it's not hard to find such batteries. I use it in a large room and it works great. I'm pretty sure the remote will work in much larger rooms. I have a Bond Bridge that I use with this ceiling fan. I also…

Goes perfectly with our vaulted ceiling

Our vaulted ceiling in our living room trapped hot air during the winter. The same happened in the summer. Only the air doesn't circulate that well. And with a traditional 3-speed fan, you can move either A LOT of air or very little air. They constantly changed speeds, trying to maintain a stable temperature in the room. Enter this thermostat controlled remote control. Now when the temperature rises, the fan speed will increase automatically! This has worked great for the last three years. My…

Works a little. in remote controls

It works great! The back button is missing. From time to time it will go into reverse mode itself when you press the buttons. I figured out how to flip it by pressing the buttons together. It also doesn't give the fan 100% of its power. Each setting, low, medium, and high, isn't as powerful as the original controller. We have two identical fans and this one runs at high power, it runs the same as the low/medium speed of the original. Not as strong as average. We used to sleep with the fan on…

Great remote so far for fan and headlight combo

I originally bought a remote for a fan and headlight combo that included a standard bottom bracket bracket that didn't leave enough room for my setup. I ended up replacing the Hunter model with a new and different lower link mount. The bottom bar and mount holder for it are square rather than spherical, and the entire bottom bar mount is much longer than usual, allowing me to screw it into wood ceiling joists instead of attaching it to the overhead control box. Very good move, Hunter. This…

Thermostatic fan controller

Captured a low price moment that made this deal even more enjoyable, but also great value for money at the current price level. The thermostatic fan control allowed me to automatically activate the ceiling fans in my living room when the stove is on. Since this part of my house has 14 foot vaulted ceilings and ceiling mounted heat registers, the heat generated by the stove is stored high up where no occupants are. Ceiling fans serve to transport this heat to where we can shorten heating cycles…

Works great!: Ceiling fans & accessories

Works great. I like that when I go to bed I don't have to get up to change the fan speed or turn off the lights. Call me lazy but this thing is amazing. To install this I had to lower my existing fan, take out the old unit, open the electrical box and make the connections. You'll definitely want to turn off the switch, even if it does turn off with the light switch, it's better to be safe than sorry than get electrocuted. The control module is NOT designed to be placed in the control box as I…

Good controller with reliability issues.

Installed the remote after the remote on a new ceiling fan failed after about 9 months. Installed and failed after about 2 months. When I turn on the fan, you hear a slight buzz and see the blades twitch a few millimeters, then everything stops. However, I did not have time to replace it immediately and after a few weeks I noticed that the fan was working. All functions appear to be back to normal. Everything has been fine for the last 2-3 months. So minus two stars for the mess, but plus one…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lot

We actually have 5 of these in the house. 4 in the house and one in the garage. As long as you use a different transmitter code on each paired device, you can control each fan separately without being disturbed by other remote devices. However, you can use the same code and control more than one fan with one remote control. We prefer separate controls as it's just the two of us and we don't want to leave lights and fans on everywhere unless we're in one room. We use both incandescent and…

more than four years and still working! Got this to control the fan in the master bedroom and surprisingly it still works. Below are the details of this remarkable work. What I like about it (everything): - low battery consumption (mine runs on a battery and only charges after 8-12 months) - current room temperature display (bonus) - comfort below: - 3 fan speeds - auto on/off based on room temperature (if room temperature =: 8 degrees Fahrenheit above setting means high fan speed, 4 degrees…
