Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Ceiling Fan Control: Universal Thermostatic Remote Control Conversion Kit for Fan and Light by Karla Schwinden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

We prefer separate controls as it's just the two of us and we don't like leaving lights and fans on everywhere unless we are.

We actually have 5 of these in the house. 4 in the house and one in the garage. As long as you use a different transmitter code on each paired device, you can control each fan separately without being disturbed by other remote devices. However, you can use the same code and control more than one fan with one remote control. We prefer separate controls as it's just the two of us and we don't want to leave lights and fans on everywhere unless we're in one room. We use both incandescent and fluorescent lighting and they all work great with remote controls. We can even dim fluorescent lights, which I didn't expect. We've only had minor problems with them. Our bedroom fan had very little room in the case to install the receiver and we practically squeezed it. Sometimes the remote seems to lose connection with the receiver and sometimes we have to hold the remote at a 45 degree angle for it to work. to bind. It can be grossly wrong and just coincidental that it works that way, but when it doesn't work, the solution is always consistent. Because of this separation, the fan may not always transmit the correct setting. For example, if we set the fan to gradually increase speed at a certain temperature, the fan "forgets" what it is doing and stays at a high level. even if the temperature would otherwise dictate that the fan speed should be low. It's not a deal breaker, and of course we could try resetting the receiver, but we don't care. The only other issue was that sometimes one of the fans in our enclosed patio would accidentally turn the lights on in the middle of the night. Didn't watch during the day. It is always the same unit and always only light. He never turns on the fan. I have no theory on this. Again not really a deal breaker. I haven't had a device that turns off fans or lights unless specifically stated, so that's a good thing. I would recommend her to everyone I know.
