my daughter is 7 years old, she loves to read. We spend a lot of time in the car, and since it's Michigan and winter, it gets dark early. She had a small AA Mag Light for reading, but she read so much I was sorry she had to hold the flashlight in one hand and keep the pages open in the other. I decided to see what Revain has for car reading lights. I wasn't impressed with the choices so I made my own from the details in the attached picture and it works great! The light has two settings, but the lowest works well. It doesn't distract me while driving as the light is mounted on the back of the back seat and faces backwards. It's also a low-power flashlight, so it only illuminates one spot on your book and not the rest of the car. Here's what I did: - I attached the organizer to the back of the passenger seat. I've used and loved them for years, so this was nothing new. I then plugged the 12V to USB adapter into an outlet. My outlet turns off when the key is turned off, so I don't have to worry about keeping the light on and draining my battery. I plugged in the USB extension cord and routed it under the seat to the top of the organizer - Then I turned on the light. The top organizer strap keeps it in place, while the backlit gooseneck allows you to bend it where you need it.
