You will receive 1) a mount (with magnet) and 2) a pair of metal rings that attach to the back of the phone case. They fit over your existing PopSocket (the PopSocket does not need to be removed to install). The metal ring you put on top/around your PopSocket will stick to the magnet in the mount. It doesn't interfere with ApplePay or anything else. It's just a thin metal ring. The mount is VERY solid, attaching and detaching the phone to the mount is very easy, and the connection is solid. During the ride you will not feel any rebound or the feeling that it will fall off. You only have 2 metal rings to start with. My big question was that I have a battery case and a lightweight case that I change as needed for my phone. My partner also uses my truck so he needs to plug in his phone. I also thought about the future; What if I bought a new case?
