UPDATE - April 13, 2019: I finally got a chance to test the black o-ring yesterday while preparing a full pot of soup (cooking time 40 minutes). It seals perfectly, even though the retaining plate in the lid was a bit loose. As mentioned, it fits snugly against the inside edge of the lid and creates a good seal. I recommend this product for Tayama B8 5-qt. pressure cooker. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I couldn't find any o-rings made specifically for the 5 quart. pressure cooker. But the description of this product lists both 5-quart and 6-quart. pressure cookers. The rings are a bit loose on the retaining plate that snaps onto the lid and I questioned their tightness. However, they fit snugly on the lid itself. I tested with several cups of plain water and these rings seemed to seal the panel properly. I haven't made any dishes with these rings before, and I'll be back to post more once I try making real food. The seller included a nice thank you note. It was very nice of them.
