These things are great for airplanes. You'll get rid of dead bugs, but you really have to put in some effort. No matter how hard I press on just the sponge itself, I still couldn't remove the paint. The plastic holder is great for large flat surfaces, but that's about it. You're actually better off using a bare sponge in your hand so you can better conform it to the plane's skin. The wing leading edge is a good example of this. Also, they're a lot bigger than the little ones that come with the Wash Wax All jar, spray bottle, and sponge set. This is a great kit, but add it to your purchase; you will thank yourself later.
