Review on Samsung S22F350FH 21 5 Inch FHD Monitor 21.5", 1920X1080P, 60Hz, Wall Mount, ‎LS22F350FHNXZA by Kyle Lacy

I actually bought this monitor for use in a media panel project, so my main requirements were external power supply, HDMI input, slim design and wide viewing angles (both horizontal and vertical). The display has an external power supply, so this requirement can be easily met. However, I would have liked it to run on 12V DC (instead of 14V DC), but that's definitely not a reason for a bad review. It also has an HDMI input (in addition to VGA). Please note that this page applies to both the 19" and 22" models. Note that the 19-inch version only has VGA - no HDMI. The slim design distinguishes this monitor for my application. thin enough for you if you want to hang it on the wall as you bought it (I'll explain later). I don't use a bearing housing so the bugs don't concern me. Two components remain: the screen itself and a 4.25 x 3.75 inch control board that simply attaches to the back of the screen with metal clips. The screen is only 1/4" thick which I was able to fit very well into a frame I made out of 3/4" wood and routed a 5/16" screen rod. In the end I just decided to stick it leave it attached and just cut a hole in the wall to put it in. I understand that this information will be useless to most people, but for the few who wish to do what I do, it is invaluable and will only be known after disassembling the device.slim design (and reason for the star deduction), it is advertised as thin as a ballpoint pen, but as you can see from the pictures that only applies to the top.the bottom is much thicker.but still relatively small.For myself I didn't want to use the bearing housing so it didn't bother me.Also a BIG downside I think is that the bracket that attaches to the base stays on the monitor even when the base isn't installed and without dismantling age of the monitor cannot be removed. This discourages someone from using a thin wall mount to position it as close to the wall as possible. This model alone could easily make a good multimedia panel if the mount were fully detachable - instead you're stuck with an unnecessary piece of plastic protruding a full 1-7/8 inches from the back of the unit. I will note that it is removable from the inside (two screws) but the monitor needs to be disassembled first. The limited viewing angle is the reason I deducted another star. The specifications give a viewing angle of 178 degrees vertically and horizontally quite well (otherwise I would have given it even fewer stars). The top view is very good, but the problem is the bottom view. I've tried all the "Magic Corner" settings and none of them seem to improve this limitation at all. The only thing that saves me is that the space for this panel is on the wall in the kitchen (at eye level) and not in a place where it is viewed less than horizontal. Kids, and this one doesn't focus on kid stuff anyway.
