Okay I've bought 6 of these now and everywhere I go people are asking me about it. The only reason I give less than 5 stars is the confusing and misleading specs that need fixing because the product is great. I have no way of measuring the power consumption of these lamps but I know they are not 144W at 12V as I regularly run them for many hours on an 8Ah battery with a 5A fuse built in. To everyone who says they got wet... I use these lights to swim FULLY SUBMERSIBLE in up to 36 inches of salt water for several hours 4-5 nights a week. Here's what I do when I get new bulbs in the mail... 1) tighten all the screws on the body (be careful or you'll break the lens) (2) apply a bead of 100% silicone around the edge of the lens and there's stitching over everything and screw heads visible on the housing (3) THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT: Remove the rubber grommet covering the cable entry into the light housing and fill with silicone, then either attach the grommet to it or throw it away in the bin. doesn't matter, but here you have 95% of your penetration just relying on the cuff to seal. It takes 5 minutes to do these 3 things and as I said I then dip the light all the way in and haven't managed to burn one yet. Once they list the actual specs of these lights I will upgrade them to 5 stars. It might actually help sales too because people won't buy them if they think they really draw 12 amps apiece, folks, that's just bad marketing.
