I originally used USB-3 on my two Rosewill External Drive Enclosures (which are inherently the best I've found). My media center server had a boot disk error and during the recovery I found that there were 2 free eSata ports on my server. After reading the negatives about these cables, but feeling the issues were with the connectors and not the cables, I ordered a pair. Due to the location of the drives I thought 3ft cables would work but would be very narrow and cause problems if I had to work on a server as I would have to constantly unplug them. So went for 6 foot cord. It was a simple and very effective change. just unplug the USB, plug it in and bingo. Not only that, but the speed improvement was significant. I used a 4 port USB 3 PCI card which was fast but not as fast as the drives. I copied the data to the discs in record time and played the movies with no problems. All I can say is that for the price this was an extremely cheap but very effective pair of cables and I highly recommend them. I've had no problems connecting to external Rosewill disk enclosures. Brilliant! A+
