I don't know if they changed the way they ship their product or if I just got lucky, but mine was pretty much fully assembled when I did got it. The circuit board was installed contrary to the videos you can find on YouTube. All I had to do was attach a larger ribbon cable, power wire, and ground. Since I didn't particularly like the cables above and bought a case I wanted to rotate the LCD screen 180 degrees as many others have mentioned. I did the following: 1. sudo nano /boot/config.txt2. add the line cd_rotate=23. Save it4. reboot. One limitation has to do with the ribbon cable. The blue color on the ends goes to the black clip connector when you plug it in (no, those black connectors don't have to come all the way out. Don't break them). After inserting the ribbon cable into the slot, push the black plastic clips back in to secure the ribbon cable.
