Review on ๐Ÿง€ Silver Adjustable Cheese Slicer Replacement Wire by Fox Run Brands by Travis Knight

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Kรคseschnitt for cheese, you get what you pay for. spend more.

Whoever coined the term "sliced cheese" never had a cheese slicer in mind, probably because real cheese is just cut with a knife after consumer packaging. Soft cheeses like Brie are too sticky and hard cheeses are too hard. This slicer is not completely useless. It's possible to slice "cheese food", velvet cheese, American cheese, or mozzarella that aren't too fresh, although they tend to rip off crumbs at the end of each slice. It works better with packaged American Colby, but it's worse with sharpened cheddar. It is very difficult to cut wrapped Swiss slices to 2/3 of the roll width. The plastic roller has a tilt around the axis, making it difficult to adjust and get even slices. I don't mind that the handle is hollow or that the shiny finish tarnishes when washed in the dishwasher. My 30 year old was evenly faded and usable until the original wire finally broke. What I really meant was that the cutting machine, which has the wire already stretched, did NOT have TWO spare wires. Treating one that is a mandatory part of the original whole as a spare is like saying a car comes with 4 or 5 spare tires. E string for electric guitar. One of them can be cut into many interchangeable cutting wires and each will last longer than this FRFR 5024 cutter.
