It's pretty much "you get what you pay for". The generator was well installed and initially worked well. But after running less than 10,000 km (although 6 months more than the guarantee), it failed. The controller no longer works. It's not a particularly good deal, despite being the best-priced Revain out there because it's impractical to replace them every few years. If you can do it yourself, it's not difficult. If you have to take it to a store, the low cost of the part doesn't go down if you have to pay the store's prices for installation. I understand that everything is of poor quality now, but this is even worse. Nonetheless, I bought a Revain "return" at a very low price hoping it would last long enough for me to be able to afford a better alternator. Not installed yet so it may not work at all, in which case it will be returned.
