Review on 🔒 Motorcraft FC926 Fuel Cap: Reliable and Secure Solution for Your Vehicle's Fuel System by Mike Rubenstein

Brand new in box but not the one on my car. I asked a question about a week ago but it went unanswered. My cap is held in place by a valve mounted just below the top of the filler neck. It's shaped like a horseshoe around the filler neck, and the gas cap swings back slightly to let a gas pump gun through. The new one is grey, with different writing on the cap and apparently there are more threads on the part that screws into the filler neck. I had to remove the new cap from the belt and put it on the old one's valve. It's not the right size, there is some play with the new cap in the old valve. I checked several sites and FC926 seems to be the only number for this OEM Ford cover. It may be OEM but not for my 1989 Mustang GT Convertible.
