Was looking for a purer protein to replace the usual suspiciously good but overly "ingredient" powders I've been using. My main issue with these powders is the use of sweeteners (artificial, "natural", organic, etc.). While a bit of natural sugar works for me in a post-HIIT/high cardio shake, I wanted a cleaner profile to boil up and down. training deployment. I also wanted to avoid soy as it makes me bloated. Finally, I wanted a higher protein isolate without adding cholesterol to the concentrate. Pure proteins are expensive! SO I searched and searched for the right mix of profile and outputs. The Opportuniteas Grass Fed Isolate had what I wanted and was inexpensive in comparison and an acceptable size for a first try. I have used the product twice in my morning coffee so far. I have read some reviews that say the product gels or clumps in hot liquid. I haven't noticed this with a regular cup of homemade coffee. Admittedly, my coffee maker doesn't heat up fast-food coffee, but it takes me a few minutes before I dare to sip. The first morning I mixed my powder with about 1/3 cup of almond milk and then added my coffee, which was perhaps not a fair test of whether the product gelled. This morning I went straight to ground coffee before adding milk and no problems so far. I used a regular whisk shaker, made 4 or 5 shakes and boom. everything is well mixed. Whey leaves the least milk flavor (aside from the usual taste of my almond milk drink), which is fine with me. No gastrointestinal issues, but I do take protein powder regularly. I look forward to trying it in some pancakes and in my oats. The powder is light, almost odorless, and I think it would go with any mix. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is the price. This is probably an unfair estimate given the price of more processed powders, which are actually not that much cheaper. Some of the highly rated are about the same per gram of protein. And many of the competing pure powders are also the same price or slightly more expensive unless you buy their £5 tubes (too much product for a first purchase). I understand. we pay for it, that's why they can rate it so highly. demand and such. I try very hard to get everything I need from my diet. But I'm a 130-pound woman who lifts, runs, bikes, and works out like it's going out of style. I have a very hard time consuming enough protein to maintain my muscle mass through food without injuring myself. Protein powder is a smart and healthy supplement. Still, the protein cost is ridiculous. The entire industry gets a star deduction for inflated prices of their products. If you're looking for a good, pure isolate, give this one a try.
