Review on Sierra International 68357P Outboard Pressure by Drew Poulin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product for gauge kits

Overall good product but a 25ft pipe really isn't that much when you factor in the twists and turns required from outboard to rudder. I ended up being 2 feet shorter than my 22 foot aquasport osprey. Luckily, West Marine sells pitot hoses on the foot, but I struggled to find a tiny barbed fitting to connect two lengths of hose. I ended up using a Napa spike for vacuum lines. Another detail worth noting is that on my Mercury 150 the normal pressure is only 3-5 pounds at idle and 10-12 pounds on the plane. Since the scale of this pressure gauge is from 0 to 30, the pressure gauge reading is very low. This particular sensor is better suited to engines running at higher water pressures. I'm not sure if they make different scales.
