I bought this Blu-ray player to replace a brand new one from Sylvania that kept breaking. So far this Fangor player has worked great. The image on the ten-inch screen is clear and bright. The controls are simple and clear. The remote works well when pointed at the sensor on the front of the unit. The carrying handle is a nice design feature that's missing from all the other models I've tested. This unit also easily connects to my TV via an HDMI cable, and there are all sorts of other ports in the sidebar. The ONLY thing the device is a bit lacking is the sound from the built-in speakers. When fully functional, the sound is very narrow, very high-mid. But it sounds great in my high quality headphones and TV. Also, I'm an audio producer by profession and maybe too critical. The battery life on a full charge is around 3.5 hours, the charging time seems to be significantly shorter at around an hour. The LEDs easily show the charging status, and the battery indicator on the screen is easy to read. I am very happy with this device! I bought it to watch new Blu-ray releases of Japanese tokusatsu shows like Ultraman and the funny joke is that the company has the same name as the villain from the Japanese TV series Johnny Sokko: Fangor! So that's a plus!
