I like that the latches don't dangle on the other connector. That's the problem with "other" connectors - the latch won't disengage. I use them to replace those bad connectors. I also make my own "extension cords" for a custom fit. Between bad plugs and new cables - I might need more. (One tip - the little o-ring connector needs help. The metal insert needs to be inserted 1/8" to the end of the plastic, and the wire used isn't stiff enough to push in. Use a small Allen wrench to push the insert down, to lock it.)
