How disappointed am I with this product! I've been looking for a fan here for a long time. I had a certain price range I wanted to stay in, even though deep down I knew I should probably buy an expensive fan once in my life. I mostly bought fans under $20 that died after a year or two. I use them almost 24/7 during spring and summer but still feel like once they fall apart they shouldn't fall apart. So I came here looking for a more expensive fan. I saw this Simple Deluxe fan and thought it was well made. The price under $40 was attractive. I had a feeling it would take over $50 to get a good, durable fan, but this one looked promising. The information about the fan boasted that it is durable and will last for many years. So I decided to order one and also paid for the insurance. My fan arrived with a broken toggle button. I was disappointed but didn't want to give up. I requested an exchange and received a replacement. The replacement fan worked pretty well, but I wasn't impressed in any way. It seemed to run very smoothly and fairly quietly. Even at top speed it was quiet enough. Why? Because the fan is not very strong. Yes, it technically moves a lot of air due to its size, but it's not very powerful at all. I decided to leave it because it still worked fine for my needs. Fast forward a few weeks and I'm only using the fan for about the fifth time. I turn on. Make a half turn and stop. DEAD! I'm trying every outlet I can plug into. NOTHING! After that I decided I could never trust this brand or the money again. I sent it back and received a refund in my account. I decided to cash out my boxing fans until I was willing to pay more than I wanted to pay. There was a time when you could get a well-made and durable fan for this price. I think those times are sadly over.
