Shoes and most hardware are fine. I removed two stars because they were missing from the kit I ordered, and the included self-adjusting mechanism was so loose between the star nut and the fork that it pitched up significantly with almost no elongation of the bolt. It wasn't obvious at first, but when I tried to install the drum, it wasn't even close to starting. I deleted the one provided and compared it to the original, what a difference! The original was a tight fit, the replacement was so sloppy it was difficult to hold and level. I used the original and everything fitted well.
