Well, there isn't much choice when it comes to this type of product. However, this one landed at the top of my list. They are what they seem, I would say hard. They do what is described and well. Too bad I didn't know them years ago - if they even existed. So I use three, two to raise the groundwater coming out of the catchment so we get wet from the bottom not from the surface and not at high water levels, "normal". The stats have changed, we put one in the overflow bin to let us know about problems, possibly before it overflows. We're not sure how it can handle hot water from the water heater around 110F, but we suspect it might be fine. And if it works as an early warning, I think it will be fine. So with such quality and price - good value for money.
