On my '89 single cab GMC truck, the muffler was a little louder than the original manufacturer's. My engine has around 400 hp. It was just too quiet and I felt like it was held back a bit at high rpm. Years ago I had a 50 Series Flowmaster in my little Toyota V8 4.7 and I remember its annoying hum in the four door cab, especially at 60 mph. With an additional 150 horsepower in this truck and a two-door cab, I wanted a rumble at idle, but I didn't want any OBVIOUS cab hum on the freeway. So I took a chance on the 40 Series DELTA FLOW, it's a place with just the right amount of idle rumble but without the ridiculous noise level in the cockpit. I have short headers, a factory Y-pipe, no cat, a 3" pipe and a stock 3" single exhaust system that is factory fitted behind the rear passenger tire. Silencer installed ex works. Love it, you can hear it's certainly not standard, you can hear my 270 camera popping but it's not loud and you can appreciate its quality, LOW hum at freeway speeds but still have a conversation or listen to the radio . again love it
