To be honest I wasn't expecting much from these brushes. Since I have badly soiled grout on my bathroom floor, I thought I'd try them anyway. Use the yellow "medium" brush (recommended in the instructions for this type of cleaning) and nothing. but hot water with my drill at low speed (screw setting), the attached pictures speak for themselves. All I can say is WOW. What fantastic results after multiple light passes in no time without damaging the joints. Note that this is a beige color, not white, and looks brand new again. Since I could also use such a slow speed, there was almost no spatter. All I had to do was wipe the area down with a rag after cleaning. Achieving this result with a hand brush, even with a detergent, is almost impossible. Not to mention that with large sections like this, your arm will likely fall off by the time you're done. Speaking of cleaning, as for the brush itself, I simply ran it under hot running water while still in the tub. drill and spin at slow speed, then dry by spinning a little more. I certainly wouldn't use this method for AC powered drills, in my case rechargeable batteries are used. However, be careful not to expose the drill to water. The kit includes two additional brushes: a white "soft" bristle for removing stains on carpets etc. and a black "hard" bristle for more difficult jobs such as outdoor grills. While I haven't tried them, I'm willing to bet on the farm that they will be just as effective. Haven't used this yellow brush extensively so can't really speak on longevity but so far so good. There's a great tip in the instructions: be sure to change the direction of the drill bit from time to time to minimize bristle wear. I have quite a bit of grout to clean in other rooms as well, so I checked the drill brush shop to see if they had it. a special brush is available separately, but unfortunately not. However, you have another option that's even better: a kit that includes two of these along with a 1-inch flat brush for getting into those hard-to-reach spots, such as the bottom of the neck. B. where mortar meets a wall, and about the same price. I'm so impressed I ordered right away. I really can't say enough about this product, it certainly delivers on its promises better than I could ever have imagined. This is definitely one of the best products I have ever ordered from Revain and I would give it 50 stars if I could. I will be surprised by the results too!
