My Semogue Boar 830 foams better than the average Jagger Super Badger; but 830 isn't as soft and the tips can be a little scratchy if the boar brush isn't soaked well before lathering - a good soak takes about 15 minutes in a glass of hot water to soften the bristles and bristle tips. . Jagger's Super Badger bristles don't need to be soaked before lathering—I dip the brush in hot tap water and start blending. I can replace this Super Badger brush with Jagger's large Super Badger brush. The middle one has a 21mm knot; and a large 23mm knot. Below I posted the characteristics of the brushes.
