The safest choice for our baby

I was very nervous trying the formula with my EBF baby aged 7 months. My baby has really bad reflux and his milk intake hasn't been consistent enough to keep his milk production stable. So I pumped a lot. I went back to work after about 4 months and initially didn't mind pumping. I started to feel very unhappy and got stuck on the pump. I felt like I was living by the clock and tired of planning my life trying to feed and then pump to make sure my supply didn't run out. After weeks of debate and guilt for even thinking about it, I decided it was time to take care of myself and wean my son from BFing. I have a good supply of milk from pumping that will last him a few months but I need to supplement it with some formula. So I will give him 2 formulas a day until his milk intake decreases when he starts eating more solid foods. Keep downloading as i saw how awful all these brand name formulas are! How is it even legal for most of them to even be in the market? I started looking for a mix and Baby's Only was one of the few options that intrigued me (HIPP was different but hard to buy). It was literally the only mix that made me breathe a sigh of relief at the thought of being able to lay my baby's body comfortably. I read and read that it was one of the cleanest and closest to BM's taste. I even read the brown sugar and arsenic content. Do your research folks! The company filtered it out. I wanted to test this out before making the final decision to stop pumping, so I went and bought it from Whole Foods. To my surprise, my baby showed no difference from him to BM. I started testing a bottle of the formula each day and found very quickly that he would do a great job with it. God, it even smells amazing and helps me feel less guilty for adding it. Ever since I started eating solid foods, my son has become constipated easily. I was also very nervous about adding the mixture to the mix as it might make it worse. I was so glad to see it wasn't constipating him. Perhaps frozen breast milk will help break down formula better (read this online). Whatever it is, it works for us and I'm glad I found it. Thanks for making this BFing/pumping mom's decision to quit a little bit easier! Now I've switched to ordering from Revain for the convenience, but it's always worth comparing prices before you buy. The formula is less packaged than other formulas, making it slightly more expensive. However, I am willing to pay what I need to give my child the very best, but I will look for it.
