Good remedy for the price

Worked really well to stop the leak in my engine. It was a fairly sizable leak and this clogged about 75% of it! Good remedy for the price, but doesn't work miracles!

Pros
  • Provides a long-lasting seal
Cons
  • May cause damage to the catalytic converter

Temporary fix but for now worth it!

Stopped my mini cooper's smoking problem. It used to smoke first startup, everyday. I know it needs valve seals but for now this does the trick. Sheerness, mileage warmth.

Pros
  • ‎Bar's Leaks
Cons
  • May not fix oil burning issues

Very good product good for me

excellent product worked very well in my car, my car used a quarter of oil every week and I took it to the mechanic and said I had to remove the engine block to fix the problem and charged me $1.20 0 dollars to fix the problem and thanks to this product save me $1,200 with only $10 dollars, I am very thin with this product that really if it worked as magic art in my cart thanksNote : started to have results after 100 miles

Pros
  • Removed lifters ticking noise
Cons
  • Es bueno

Worked for my '01 Camry (165k miles), leaking 1 qt/week

Edit -- After about 1 year, Bar's Leaks stopped working. The gaskets on my Oil Pump and Valve cover had completely worn out. Cost a couple hundred dollars to replace, but the oil leak is gone. That said, getting 1 year of driving out of a bottle of this stuff still leaves me very impressed. I'd use Bar's Leaks more as a way to get you to a spot where you can get your car fixed instead of an end-all solution personally. 5 stars for 1 year of stopping an oil leak at the cost of $7.Original…

Pros
  • Can be used in both gasoline and diesel engines
Cons
  • Cannot repair engine block cracks

WORTH EVERY PENNY on my review.

I have a 2010 F150. Was leaking oil. 1 qt per month. This solved the issue very grateful! Took a month for it to work. But I have had no issue for 6 months. WORTH EVERY PENNY

Pros
  • works ok slows leak but not stopped
Cons
  • May not work for all types of engines

Best oil additive I've ever purchased.

I drive 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum 4WD (V6 w/ CVT). My engine started to burn a bit of oil under the bonnet and smoking at 120,000 miles. I just had an oil change & put this product 4 times. Putting one whole bottle & drive about 200 to 300 miles & 2nd, 3rd & 4th bottles. The engine runs much smoother & no more burning oil nor smoking under my bonnet! I highly recommend this product to my friends and family all day long. One last bottle was used on my 15 year old SUV & it runs much quieter

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Cannot repair engine sludge

Didn’t do much except make my wallet lighter

136,000 miles on 204 Grand Cherokee. Burning oil. Not a lot so I thought I’d try this. No change in oil consumption. Nothing special!

Pros
  • Toyota camry 2005 poco liqueo de aceite ahora esta arreglado el problema
Cons
  • Nothing special

Works for small nuisance leaks

Fixed some leak in my 260,000 mile Explorer but was very small leaks like half quart lost in 5000 miles. Was either valve cover gaskets or rear seal leaking. No way to tell by eyeballing it. Just was making a mess on driveway and street. Now nothing dripping in last 1000 miles. Will see if it lasts

Pros
  • Can save you money on costly repairs
Cons
  • May affect fuel economy

Saved me hundreds good for me

I never gave to much stock with any kind of stop oil leak. New gaskets only sure way to go. But ebay gave it choice. So I'll give it a try thinking it's going to cost me a few hundred bucks for new oil gasket. I have a 2000 BMW that after getting oil change and adding bars leak at the same time. To my surprise no no more leak and maybe I'm crazy but the car seem to have better get up and go. But most impressive after 5 days no more oil spots floor of the garage. I no I no I sound like bars leak

Pros
  • Me sorprendió la rapidez como cambio el sonido del motor de mi Camry 1999 100% satisfecho
Cons
  • May cause clogging in the engine

Did not work for me

Honestly it appears to have made the leak worse. Not Positive it was caused by this product but it deffintly got noticeably worse (oil drip spots) after a few years of being extremely an extremely slow leak.

Pros
  • Formulated specifically for high mileage engines
Cons
  • May require multiple applications for desired results

The Stuff Works! for my opinion

I have a 10 year old car. The dealer told me that I needed to get rid of the car and that it was not worth saving. My engine warning light was coming on saying that the engine should be shut-down. I used this engine repair and the engine light went off. The engine compression increased and my car started running a lot better. My car would randomly shut down, now it is working fine. I am now adding this after every oil change.

Pros
  • It's really works
Cons
  • It slowed the leak a lot, buying a second bottle to hopefully delay the value cover gasket replacement

V6 slow oil burning fixed

2005 V6 was burning oil. Light noticeable blue cloud at traffic lights and thick cloud when accelerate after a long idle. Used a bottle with oil change and no smoke since and quicker engine response. Kinda impressed and adding to my list.

Pros
  • Can help to smooth out rough idling and improve acceleration
Cons
  • May not be recommended for use with carbureted engines

DO NOT USE! - my new review

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT, it will clog your radiator and cause your engine to overheat and could cause catastrophic damage. if your head gasket is blown it’s worth it to have it changed instead of getting a temporary fix like this that could end up having you fix more than intended.

Pros
  • Can help to improve the overall performance of the engine
Cons
  • May not be effective for engines with excessive carbon buildup

Seems to work on my review.

I added this per the instructions, and it appears the leaking oil has been greatly reduced, within the first 100 miles or so.

Pros
  • Quiets Noise
Cons
  • May not be effective for high mileage engines

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Seemed to work for my opinion

It was hard to put in the oil with the correct amount since one side was runny and the other was like honey Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • ABOVE
Cons
  • May not be effective for large engine repairs

Truthful advertising!

WOW! I have a ford ranger 3.0 v6 2001 with 109k miles I know for a fact with Royal purples HPS 5w-20 oil it would take about 3-4 minutes of driving before the oil reached operating pressure. Considering the oil has a high film strength composition that is 2-3 times better than even leading brands so this didn't concern me. I bought this knowing it fixed an oil leak on my grandmothers honda accord 1996 with 130k miles (low miles for age) from one of the pressure sensors or oil lines coming out…

Pros
  • This seems to work. A little surprised.
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to traditional repairs

Wouldnt recommend for my opinion

I used a different Bar's stop leak before and had great results. I tried this one and now my car keeps running hot. I'd recommend the other Bar's product, just not this one. I don't think the viscosity is sufficient.

Pros
  • Does not clog or harm engine components
Cons
  • Can cause engine seizure

Pros
  • Can be used on both old and new vehicles
Cons
  • Cannot repair engine bearing damage

Stopped my leaks.: my feedback

I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty with 209,000 miles. Noticed some leaking under the engine when I would park in the driveway. Bought Bar's Leaks 1000 Engine Repair, added to oil during an oil change. Voila! After driving about 80-100 miles, leaks were gone. Excellent product.

Pros
  • Vehicle smokes less.
Cons
  • It did not work it did not stop the leak it's a waste of money.
