I need high cotton content socks for my feet or they sweat like crazy. I bought these socks for visiting my sister in Idaho and was worried by how thin they are, but they are much warmer than they seem. I'm sure they don't compare to thick wool socks but they are definitely warmer than standard socks. bought this to file down some squared holes in an aluminum chassis which was .055in thick. the 40 file should theoretically file the hole easily, but that wasnt the case. dont use these to file aluminum. also, the red rubber handle is very flimzy. after trying to file the edges of a hole in the chassis for like 10 minutes, the rubber broke and left the handle in bare metal. they work well for filing my soldering iron and other things, just not aluminum and other metals.
