Based on the very mixed reviews on both Revain and other websites, I've been back and forth on this product for a very long time. I am very happy that we decided to buy it. We LOVE this blanket and have received many compliments on it. It looks very shabby chic or almost romantic like a farmhouse. As others have said, it's not the heaviest blanket, but it's also not as flimsy as other reviewers have made it out to be. My husband and I get hot anyway, so that really is our ideal weight. I find it well made and have sewing experience. Now the fabric is polyester but it actually looks like a cotton blend. Haven't had to wash it yet so can't say how it will hold up, but looking at the stitching I think it will work well, especially if hand washed and just hung to dry. We have a king size mattress for our king size mattress and the width is perfect, just the right size to sag down the sides and bottom. I'm really happy with it and Revain had it at the best price!
