We decided to buy a pack instead of a bassinet and play with the top of the bassinet for 2 reasons. 1) We will be traveling a lot so it made sense. 2) We could use it at home instead of investing in both. The Pack n Play is good value and nice overall but the mattress had mold or mildew stains which was disappointing to say the least. For the price we decided to keep it as we bought a nice soft spare mattress anyway, it's still a safe sleeper as the mattress supplied is like hard cardboard. The design is a bit odd considering the print features dinosaurs and cacti, but the hanging phone is an elephant? Strange again, but still functional.
