Great for plantar fasciitis!

I was hesitant to buy these shoes because the reviews were limited and difficult to find online, even on the main shoe brand websites. Based on the reviews of other sandals from this brand, I decided to try these and hope they will be suitable for my upcoming vacation. I wasn't disappointed! I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis last year and have been using insoles in my shoes for a while. This was my first time venturing into sandals to help plantar fasciitis without the use of insoles because I needed a good, sturdy shoe for walking and comfort on long road trips. I've been wearing them for two days now to break them in before a trip and here's what I noticed. Pros: The support of these shoes is amazing for plantar fasciitis and I really feel the bounce when walking. The fabric straps are more durable than shown in the picture and hold the foot in the shoe surprisingly well. I even tried walking in these shoes and my feet didn't slip out of them in any way. By the way, the straps are adjustable, which is a plus. The strap on the back of the foot is soft and doesn't rub me in any way, which makes me picky. The strap that runs between the toes is also very comfortable. Cons: While these shoes offer great support and are great for walking around town or maybe even easy trails, I don't know if I would use them for difficult trails due to the lack of ankle support and the open uppers. They are just ribbons of fabric crossed together. Haven't tried them on a trip yet so their use in water and long distance walking has yet to be tested. So far I've only used it on a daily basis. The fabric straps, while soft and comfortable, take a little getting used to at first, but I can already feel them pulling on my foot. At first I feel a little pressure on my little toes when putting them on, but then again I have sensitive feet. However, I haven't had any abrasions or blisters on my foot yet, which is a good sign. The shoes are not easy to put on and take off as you have to adjust the straps a bit each time you put them on and they fit well on the big toe. This can be a nuisance if you are planning to get dressed at the airport and need to get dressed quickly after a security check. Maybe that's a good thing, because you can be sure that she won't fall off your leg anytime soon. I can't tell you exactly how they fit a wide foot because I'm average, but the straps are stretchy so that's good. I can confirm they are true. I usually wear a size 9 and 9 and they fit perfectly, my foot doesn't sag or take up extra space. I hope this review helps someone looking for arch support. I will definitely try other shoes from this brand in the future. :)
