I bought 24 of these dime style kombucha bottles. They work great. Advantages: - Very thick glass. I haven't had a single bottle burst due to pressure and had a few heavily carbonated batches during my 2nd fermentation.- Northern Brewer's 2-gallon kombucha brewer's stainless steel nozzle fits perfectly into the neck of the bottle while the body of the bottle tapers slightly downwards so it doesn't slip out of my hand as easily as a straight-walled bottle. - As of July 2019 all my bottles came with fully sealing silicone caps. I haven't had a single leak - The seal is removable for cleaning - The locking mechanism is durable stainless steel. Definitely thicker and stiffer wire than I've seen on similar bottles at Walmart or other outlets. The latch is interchangeable. Cons: Cleaning can be painful. I recommend getting a brush with a convex end that goes through the neck of the bottle so you can clean the bottom of the bottle. For a thorough cleaning, I use the bartender trick: I use rice or clean sand and vinegar and shake vigorously.
