Big and Durable - Digital Cameras

This camera is beautiful to look at and so easy to hold. He is well built; there is nothing cheesy or contrived about it. In fact, it's pretty big and heavy compared to DSLRs these days. Had she been weatherproof (and had a titanium chassis) she would have been a replacement for the flagship Olympus E-3. What takes Olympus cameras from good to great is the glass: Zuiko Digital (ZD) lenses are some of the best in the solar system. Since the Olympus line of digital SLRs are 4/3 format (the sensor is about a quarter the size of the exposed plane on 35mm film and is shaped like a rectangle 4 wide x 3 high) , ZD lenses can be made lighter. and smaller than conventional lenses. At the time of its release, the E-30 was one of the best sub-$1,000 SLRs in the world. But times are changing fast in the digital camera market. While the E-30 has professional features (easy-to-read display, infinitely customizable menu, reasonable FPS, multiple exposure, great lenses), it also offers a few bells and whistles that the highly skilled hobbyist might enjoy, including "art filters". , a tool for changing the end result of photos while they're still in the camera. But the E-30 is missing an important element. What is this big disadvantage? Why did I give this wonderful camera four stars and not five? Almost every DSLR on the market today can record HD video. except for Olympus DSLRs. In the case of the E-30, which is already larger than the average DSLR, Olympus is unlikely to find room to add the circuitry required for HD video; So don't expect an update from Olympus any time soon. Research and conversion require a lot of time and money. The E-30 is an excellent performer and feels good in the hand, but it's already a dinosaur in the digital world.
