I needed a printer to print coupons and minimize costs so I decided to invest in a laser printer. The printer is great but I wish I had saved more money and bought the one that came with the scanner/copier. This is a basic laser printer, but it works great if you only want black and white prints. There wasn't much toner in the kit, but it was enough from January to April. I ordered a new toner from Revain in April and the printer still says it's still 75% off. I've always been trying to figure out how much toner is left and someone left a very helpful post here. Simply press the Go button three times in a row and the report will be printed. If you want to use paper smaller than A4 (we'll have to deal with that too), just go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers, right click on the printer and select "Printer Preferences". At the top of the window you have the paper size. Select Custom and select 8.5 and 8.4. So if you have pages where you only printed 1 coupon, simply cut out the coupon and use the rest of the page to print 2 more coupons. Approximate dimensions: 8.5 and 8.4 inches. You also need to make sure you adjust the paper tray to accommodate smaller paper. The only problem I've had so far is probably the toner or possibly the drum. Some pages start to print faintly. I have to remove the toner and shake it a little then it prints fine. But I have to keep going, and I really don't want to hurt it. I couldn't figure out how to solve this problem. Apart from that I am very happy with it. It doesn't take up much space, is medium in size and not very heavy.
