Review on πŸ”© SIMPSON STRONG SS1 5 Galvanized Fasteners: Unparalleled Durability for Your Project by Matthew Baltimore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The guy cut a 3 " hole 1 " across the bottom of the 2x8, that fixed the crack/creak!

No Hss2-sds1.5, but enough (cheaper) to vertically support a joist rocking a plumber or Billy an electrician cutting a hole in the wrong place. Staggered thread tips so they've already thought about it, bought a fake and yes you walk over to the other side and start wondering why the wood is so hard. Then loosen the screws, since the holes are not staggered, Simpson is always suitable for the bracket. Consult an engineer if you're concerned about this, houses weigh quite a bit and 1 2x4 can take an amazing load before it doesn't anymore. Knowledge is half the battle. ;)

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power
